A story about Oprah Winfrey
Years ago I went to the Oprah show. This was pre-gift giving. The episode was something about men who used protitutes.
Anyway, after the show Oprah held her reception line so we could all have a moment of her time. I said something like, ”... you ignored our whole side of the room …” (there was a man in our section who had an issue with the topic so the camera had been instructed to stay away).
Oprah replied something along the lines of, ”... I’m just one little ‘ole Black woman.”
I felt goofy. We hugged and the line pushed me on out unto the Chicago streets. My friends and I then went to Oprah’s restaurant, The Eccentric, I think it was called. Is it still open?
